New norma with larger sales area
After a construction period of about nine months, the discounter norma opened its newly built branch in the outer sulzfelder strabe in kitzingen on monday on its traditional site.
Sales manager jorg hueber presented the new branch with around 1000 square meters of sales area. The new building had become necessary because the old structure had passed its zenith and could no longer be rebuilt according to new design criteria.
Now norma offers the same assortment as before, but in a much more spacious way and more easily accessible for the customer. The company is also responding to changes in consumer behavior. The new branch employs nine people and one apprentice.
In contrast to when the discounter was founded in 1984, norma now focuses on fresh produce, preferring the francophone region. Work is underway to reduce plastic packaging. However, hueber pointed out that hygiene regulations would have to be observed, especially in the case of foodstuffs.
Mayor klaus heisel was pleased with the new norma, especially since the old store no longer had an attractive appearance. He raised the question of the future of the branch in schwalbenhof. The "little norma" and its continued existence are a very important concern for the city. Hueber said that there were currently no plans to close this branch.
